Talking Tuesday's!

Today we had a Fantastic time going Fishing! We started off our Francy fish week yesterday by reading an adaptation of the 3 little pigs, The 3 Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark. All the kids loved the smashing of the houses!

To build on counting, fine motor, turn taking & speech we jumped right into the pond & went fishing this morning! We used goldfish pretzels, peanut butter, & chopsticks for poles. If you get a chance go ahead & try this at home with your child this afternoon!
Thanks again to Ms. Lynn for an awesome session.

Busy Bees

Well we are off to a Bee-autiful start! This week we had lot's of fun learning about the letter b. We brainstormed a list of words that started with b, we counted the boys in the class and we learned about bears and bees.

Bubba bear, our "b" friend for zoo-phonics introduced the sound for us. We followed him through a fun story of Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? by Bill Martin and illustrated by Eric Carle. We also learned that Bubba loves honey. And who makes honey? Well, bees do!

We made rice krispies bee treats with Ms. Lynn for speech. You can make your own at home by following these simple directions:
You'll need: a package of rice krispies treats, 2 small candies(like a mini m&m), black or dark brown frosting, and 2 almond slices.
1. smoosh the rice kripies treat into an egg shape
2. put the frosting into a ziploc bag and sni off the end, then pipe the frosting stripes onto the treat.
3. put a frosting dot to "glue" the small candy on for the eyes.
4. put a frosting dot to "glue" the 2 almond wings

It should look something like this:
